Writer, reviewer, and publisher are separate roles on this demo. Use them to walk Article plus Aero Page Builder through Drupal Content Moderation.
A real desk, not a single editor account
This Article is published so you can read it logged out. The four people below are the accounts for testing create, edit, review, approve, revisions, and Archive. Log in at /user/login. The shared password is ApbDesk2026!. That is a public-demo password, not a production secret. Do not use the administrator account for this walkthrough. demo_editor is the recording account and still has every transition.
Who sits on this desk
Four accounts, three roles. Shared demo password is on the special list below. demo_editor remains the recording account and can still do every transition.
How to walk the workflow
Log in as maya.writer. Create an Article or open Spring campaign carousel. Add or edit APB parents. Save as Draft, then Send for review. You cannot publish. Open Alex is still writing the long version: the edit tab should be denied.
Log in as jordan.reviewer. Open /admin/content/moderated. Membership FAQ still in review is waiting. You can edit copy. Create New Draft sends it back to Maya. You cannot Publish or Archive.
Log in as sam.publisher. Publish from In review. On a live piece, Create New Draft keeps the URL up while you rewrite, then Publish the forward revision. Archive is how a live Article leaves the site. Restore brings it back.
Every Article here has revision logs named for the person who made the change. Latest is the working copy. Revert is a Publisher permission.
What each role is allowed to do
The boundary that matters: only Publisher (and the recording editor) can Publish or Archive. Writers cannot see each other's unpublished work.
Keep going
The frozen gallery is still the per-component reference. This section is the editorial pass.
